Well, is your bracket busted?
Mine is. I had Hiatus Kaiyote going all the way, but alas, them’s the breaks.
After weeks of heartbreak and ecstasy, we’ve reached the Final Four. It’s time to pit the regions against each other. Chet Faker stands victorious, with his single “Talk Is Cheap” planted firmly at the mountaintop of the Oceania region. Cloud Control, Empire of the Sun, Cut Copy, and now Hiatus Kaiyote are all in the rearview mirror.
He will go on to face the victor of the California region, the Y Axes, who convincingly took down Best Coast in the Elite Eight. Proudly representing the Bay Area after beating out a field filled with mostly SoCal natives, the Y Axes have put together the most impressive string of wins with multiple come-from-behind victories. One thing is for sure, this group has heart.
The winner moves on to the Championship round to face the victor of the Canadia/Scandinavia showdown, also taking place this week.
