The All New All Different Marvel Universe is in full swing, and week fifteen of the relaunch gives us seventeen titles, including one premiere.
Marc Guggenheim’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. takes a huge step forward in integrating Marvel’s Cinematic Universe into the All New comic book universe, right down to the Henry Hayes/Mike Peterson Deathlok and an apparently necessary exploration of Phil Coulson’s sex life.

This week also concludes the Secret Wars event, finally putting a bow on the prior Marvel multiverse. The final chapter in this nine-issue limited series says hello to the All New status quo (in a surprisingly straightforward and heartwarming manner), while bidding adieu to Jonathan Hickman.

Let’s start at the cover. Alex Ross delivers again. Next up the lineup: I was really impressed with how well this team meshed. It can take a long time for a team to feel appropriate, and to feel earned, but this series got there quickly. Ms. Marvel is probably my favorite character in the MU right now, with this book showcasing her so well it’s only natural I should love it. I’m not sold on this new young Nova, but I will give him a shot. Otherwise this is a solid book and I’m looking forward to more. – IP
