5 Drinks for St. Patty’s Day

Don’t spend hours debating what to drink this St. Patty’s day; five Idle Timers share their whiskey drink of choice (in no particular order).

5. Red Breast 12 or 15 years

redbreast_12_year_oldlebronald: There once was a fella Artest
With a heavy weight on his chest
After fighting police
He renamed to Peace
All thanks to a pub and Red Breast

4. Irish Coffee

Irish-CoffeeMMDG: Naturally, my favorite way to enjoy Irish whiskey is inside my favorite beverage. High quality coffee combined with a decent Irish Whiskey (my cupboard stocks Powers and, thanks to KB, Paddy) and brown sugar, plus the flatcap of cream (not whipped!) on top.

3. Knappogue  Castle 12-year  Single Malt

kbentubo: Matured in Bourbon barrels, my favorite Irish has a pale, straw color, hints of smoke flavor, and a mild honey sweetness. This is truly one “Super Premium” you’ll want to savor.

2. Jameson

jameson_irish_whiskeyLDG: Let’s be honest… I like the cheap  stuff (but maybe not as much as Brendan). Their website describes it as the “perfect balance of spicy, nutty and vanilla notes with hints of sweet sherry and exceptional smoothness.” I think it goes great in my Coke.

I know what you’re thinking. We all got drunk and don’t know how to count.

Don’t worry, we have one more drink suggestion lined up for you…  We just like to build suspense.
